  • Description

This is a self-contained application capable of playing virtual instruments in the appropriate format, equally suited for offline desktop use and for integration with online resources.

Included is the simulation of the historic pipe organ of Cadaquers (Cadaqus), Catalonia.

The simulation is based on real multi-track recordings of the instrument and uses a custom audio engine implemented in Electron.

The project is part of www.teclats.cat, a long-term effort to document, virtually reconstruct, and preserve historical keyboard instruments through detailed sampling and analytical sound modelling.

This Electron-based package includes all required resources and does not require installation or an Internet connection.

At launch, the application opens in full-screen mode and provides immediate access to any instruments present in the /resources/app folder.

    Contents

    Full Electron runtime (Windows)

Audio samples recorded from the Cadaquers organ

    HTML/JavaScript simulation engine

    Documentation files

    Self-contained launcher (electrofon.exe)

    How to Run

    Download and unzip the package.

    Launch electrofon.exe.

    The simulation will start automatically.

    Adding More Instruments

To enable downloaded instruments in the supported format (available at https://www.casacota.net/samplesets or on Archive.org):

Unpack the .zip file of the instrument.

Place the resulting instrument folder inside:

    /resources/app

The new instrument will appear automatically at launch.

    Purpose

This release is intended for long-term digital preservation on Archive.org, ensuring future access to both the instrument and the underlying simulation technology.
